Notes

After getting a job at JACK Casino in downtown Cleveland, then landing some tasty freelance opportunities, I felt compelled to make a few trips while I could. So I scheduled this trip to Louisville. Or as they pronounce it in Louisville, "Luavl." Took a 230am Greyhound direct and was placed in the very back in a seat by myself. It was so (comparatively) luxurious that I might pay the upcharge to choose my own seat again next time I'm on a Greyhound.

After nabbing Brandeis's grave at the University of Louisville law school that bears his name, I took the city bus to Cave Hill Cemetery. I had plotted the grave location by lattitude and longitude but after entering the main gate of the cemetery I stopped to look at my phone and get my bearings. Which prompted the guy in the security office to come out and ask if I needed any help. I didn't but if he knew anything that would make finding Johnny Mac's grave any easier, I was down. He gave me a couple maps and highlighted the appropriate areas. Which, y'know, was very nice. I gave the guy a Subversive Accolade and used my Google Maps coordinates to get the right place, but whadaya know, Google Maps steered me wrong. The guy's Section I map really came in handy - steered me in the right direction (right around the corner).

Shadows of trees on the stone, but not obtrusively so. Got some great photos.

From there I went to Goodfellas Pizzeria on Baxter, had me an awesome slice and a cocktail made with Kentucky bourbon. Called an Über to take me to Minton's grave in New Albany IN.
