I saw that John Zorn's New Masada Quartet was doing a string of shows at the Village Vanguard in New York, so I made arrangements for a whirlwind trip to catch the show, visit my bazillionaire cousin Ben, and visit the graves of Cardozo, Livingston, and Blatchford.
Weather was crap. Overcast and drizzly. I debated even coming to Green-Wood cemetery as it was cutting it close as to whether I could make the train back home. PLUS I found that the train dropped me off at the complete opposite end from Blatchford's and Livingstons's graves. PLUS omg - they are both at the highest points in the cemetery. A long arduous climb to get there.
Got to Livingston and nabbed a number of photos. I believe I get a raindrop to the left of the lens, making them kind of blurry. And I'm annoyed with the quality of my 360 photo -grainy in the important parts. As I was shooting, a gentleman walked past and offered to take my photo with the grave there. So sweet. But I declined.
Once finished I scurried out to find Blatchford and make my way home. Sadly I missed the train. Had to reconnoiter another route home using one Amtrak and two Greyhounds. Got home absolutely exhausted.
New Masada Quartet was absolutely amazing by the way
