I saw that John Zorn's New Masada Quartet was doing a string of shows at the Village Vanguard in New York, so I made arrangements for a whirlwind trip to catch the show, visit my bazillionaire cousin Ben, and visit the graves of Cardozo, Livingston, and Blatchford.
I debated even coming to Green-Wood cemetery as it was cutting it close as to whether I could make the train back home. PLUS I found that the train dropped me off at the complete opposite end from Blatchford's and Livingstons's graves. PLUS omg - they are both at the highest points in the cemetery. A long arduous climb to get there.
I nabbed the photos at Livingston's grave and set off to look for Blatchford, which I found easily, but he's on the side of a hill. I am annoyed with the quality of the 360 photo I took in particular.
Once finished I went as fast as I could to Penn Station for the trip home, but sadly I missed the train. Had to reconnoiter another route home using one Amtrak and two Greyhounds. Got home absolutely exhausted.
